I used to ride the dunes in the early 80's -2001, I sold my 3 wheeler , my quad and 2 motorcycles in 2001. I have not been back there since. I have buddies that go all the time and I hear these same things everytime. I like to stay away from people when I go on trips. I do still go to the desert and the river. I just do it in better places for me and not holiday weekends. F*** the big crowds. Thats what football games are for.

really funny when people bash a place and have not been there for 5, 10, 15 and even 20 yrs..... You all have a right not to go and for some you have good reason not to go.....
But just for saying I still go, been going since 1991, and still enjoy it.... you can have fun and enjoy anything if you use good comon sense....and yes anything can happen to anyone anywhere.
I do agree the drags can get really crazy and stupid, and so can the hillls both olds and comp.... and if your drinking and do dumb things you have increased your odds of something happening expotenially.

but stop the bashing if you have no idea whats going on....

glamis sucks. I saw 2 people get killed in a sandrail about 100feet from where we were. This was in 1999 and ill never go back. waste of time IMO
