Yeah, yeah....I'll believe you when I'm seeing yours ablaze while we're sucking down cold cervezas and filiming it for youtube highlights....

Meanwhile mine has a minor issue that is about to be resolved...
.... and when it is resolved and the fish are coming in, I'll be sure to invite you out. We'll have those cold ones and pull on some feesh.... unless you're too busy of course.

"Agree with above but I think you could add electric/distributor issue with some h20 to the list. I say that because it is intermittent. Also a possibility of some sort of air getting into the fuel delivery."
Here is what I said 3 weeks ago. How about swapping the electronics/coil and see if the problem goes to the other side?
Good luck hate intermittent problems.Alan

I've seen coils act like this before. Swap the coil to the other engine.

Maybe it's both. Have you checked the oil-pressure cut-off wiring on your fuel pump?? Seen plenty of spade connectors on the cut-off switch. Good place for an intermittant connection.
I'm guessing you have screens on the pick-ups in your new tanks? I have not memorized your fuel issue thread but I would also guess that after all the crap you went though the inside of those tanks were spotless. The problem is intermittant enough that a clogged pick-up would be my guess if it is only a fuel issue. Not applicable to you though.
I bet it's electrical.

There's no such wiring to the fuel pump since these are mechanical, not electrical.
There are no screens on the fuel pick ups, and since the tanks and pick ups are new, they are free of debris. I even removed the anti-siphons for now just to be sure that they are not a culprit. Eventually they will go back on tho.
Yes, I believe so. Hopefully the replacement of the old coil takes care of it...
Thanks.

OK, here’s what I did today:
· Checked & swaped the mechanical fuel pumps for each engine
· Checked fuel tank vent lines again, no problems there, and installed vent whistles
· Replaced the coil with the new one on the starboard engine
· Checked the electrical to ignition, instruments, etc., dielectric added
· Did compression test on the starboard engine and checked plugs / wires, all good
· Cleaned carb spark arrestors, all good
· Check fuel hoses and connections through fuel system
· Checked distributor cap and looked at timing, spot on
· Checked prop on starboard outdrive at AAA Props in NB... Not spun (as was suggested)
Next up: Launch and run to see if problem is fixed
