Shore fishing Roosters in BCS
Hoping to learn what others have found effective for roosters from the shore. Spent all afternoon at Los Arenas throwing megabaits and small croc's but no takers. Lots are turning on them and giving chase but no strikes. Nice size to them too. Between 20-30#'s.

I caught lots of 5-10# on the pacific side just above Cabo with surface poppers fished pretty fast and erratic. Also got some on the fly after teasing them up with a hookless popper. The guide I was fishing with said the surface commotion triggers the strike. Good luck and post a report if you get some. I just noticed your from Running Springs, I live in Big Bear.

Pick up the retrieve hyper speed almost have your offering skipping the surface. or live bait under a float with florocarbon has worked for me a time or 3

Agreed. Speed should do it. If you can get followers then speed should turn them on.
