    Wow! I got an Avet Pro EX 30/2 tonight as an early Christmas present from my girlfriend - my first Avet and first two-speed. The FIRST thing I looked for in the unopened box was a user's manual - none, just a parts list. The second thing I did was surf the 'net and found this site which I promptly joined - only to find out that I "have no business owning one in the first place." Does that mean I have to give it back because I'm incapable of divining how it works? Thanks for the welcome aboard...

    The reason they don't include a manual is that their customers only turn it against them and might sue them for not telling everything, like don't store the reel underwater; don't grease the drags; don't put your reel in the fire; choking hazard - small parts. Not for children under 3 years, etc.

    Same here three reels, three manuals and parts lists , and both SX`s had matching rod clamps too. Thought they came without them.

    yeah, my husbands gold sx didnt come with the matching clamp but my purple mxl and my purple sx came with matching clamps too!
