FLORIDA GULF RED SNAPPER SEASON
It's going to be another short red snapper season in the Gulf of Mexico. Florida sets its season June 1 through July 10. A total of 40 days, and the same as the federal season.

PHOTOS FOR NEW FISH APP
The IGFA is developing a new app with Columbia University that will help anglers identify their catch. To make the app a success, they're asking anglers to help out and send in some photos of several game fish.
PEI CUSTOM RODS
The winner of the Race to P.E.I. contest will be fishing with a state-of-the-art custom rod created by Bill Havens. The rod has a United Composite blank and AFTCO components.
DFG STOCKS TROUT AT SYCAMORE ISLAND PARK
Freshwater anglers at Sycamore Island park will soon have a new quarry to chase. California DFG officials will stock rainbow trout there starting this month.
DAY AT THE DOCKS BLOOD DRIVE
Don't forget to head down to Day at the Docks in San Diego on April 15 and take part in the Bloodydecks blood drive. Every donor will receive a free shirt.
FLORIDA GULF GROUPER AND ATLANTIC VERMILLION SNAPPER OPEN APRIL 1
April 1 marks the beginning of the grouper season in Florida's state waters in the Gulf of Mexico. It's also the opener for Atlantic vermillion snapper.
FISH THE 2012 YELLOWTAIL SHOOTOUT!
The 2012 Yellowtail Shootout will take place June 22-24 at Dana Landing in Mission Bay. Come out and fish in the biggest yellowtail tourney on the West Coast.
RECREATIONAL GULF GROUPER OPENS ON APRIL 1
The recreational season for shallow-water groupers (excluding gags) will reopen on April 1 for Gulf of Mexico federal waters.
